Andrew Saunders is an experienced transformation leader for complex business, organizational and digital change with extensive experience in healthcare, government, finance and insurance. He is currently a board member of Eastern Health and Dental Health Services Victoria and President of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HiMSS) Asia Pacific. Previously, Andrew held the positions of Director of Health Information for Victoria, Director of the Board of Directors of Alfred Health, and Executive Director of WorkSafe and the Transportation Accident Commission`s Shared Information and Technology Solutions. Andrew was appointed in July 2019. Robbie Campo has extensive experience in governance, strategy, financial oversight, legal and regulatory policy, brand and communications, people and culture, public affairs, risk and operations. She has held leadership positions in the pension insurance industry for over two decades. Robbie holds a degree in Applied Finance and Investment and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and was appointed in October 2016. Although the idea of legal aid in Victoria dates back more than 100 years, the Victoria Legal Aid Commission was established in 1981, which became Victoria Legal Aid in 1995. George Habib is a clinical psychologist and Associate Director of Wellness Services at the University of Melbourne.

George was previously Assistant Director of Psychology at Monash Health and was part of the Psychology Design and Specialty Services team, which won innovation awards for new program development. George has previously worked in sexual assault and mental health services and has held clinical leadership positions with governmental and non-governmental organizations. He sits on the Academic Council of the Cairnmillar Institute and maintains a private practice in clinical psychology. George was appointed in July 2018. Tal is an Olympian, lawyer, and organizational strategist. Currently, Tal is a Senior Expert and Head of Innovation and Sport Practice at Right Lane Consulting, leading strategy, planning, organizational culture and stakeholder engagement projects for public and nonprofit sector clients. Previously, Tal held senior legal and policy positions at Victoria Legal Aid, the Sentencing Advisory Council, the Department of Justice and the Victorian Minister for the Prevention of Women and Family Violence. After graduating with honours from the Australian National University, Tal became a partner to Justice Hayne in the High Court of Australia. Tal is a board member of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, a director of YMCA Australia and a Change our Game ambassador for the Victorian government. Tal was appointed in December 2020. Victoria Legal Aid (VLA), formerly the Legal Aid Commission of Victoria, is an organisation that provides information, legal advice and education with a focus on preventing and resolving legal issues promptly. We help people with legal issues such as family breakdown, child protection, domestic violence, criminal cases, social security, mental health, discrimination, guardianship and administration, fines, immigration, tenancies and debts. VLA also manages funding for community law centres in Victoria by the Commonwealth and state government. Community Law Centres (CLCs) are independent community organizations that provide free advice, intervention and legal education to their communities. VLA manages funding for the majority of CLCs in Victoria and the Federation of Community Legal Centres through the CLC Funding Program and ensures that the centres meet their service agreements. It also focuses on supporting the professional development of the sector through joint training initiatives. The Victoria Legal Aid Commission (LACV) was established in 1978 as an independent statutory body. LACV has taken over the functions of the Australian Legal Aid Office, the Legal Aid Committee and the Office of the Lawyer. The LACV had a broader role than the Legal Aid Committee and the Public Prosecutor`s Office. Its tasks included legal training in the Community and legal reform. The LACV had an 11-member Board of Directors, which included representatives from municipal legal centres, social welfare groups and the legal profession. VLSB+C announced today that it will increase funding for 13 funding projects to address the growing need for legal assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
